NFL Draft

Two days ago was the NFL Draft, which is were all the college players go to the NFL.  The first two picks were pretty much already set, Jared Goff and Carson Wentz, but it was not sure who would go what pick.  It turned out that Jared Goff went first to the Los Angeles Rams and Carson Wentz went second to the Philadelphia Eagles .  Atfer the two quarterbacks got picked Joey Bosa a defensive end got picked onto the San Diego Chargers.  He stands at six feet and five inches, weighs 269 pounds, and came out of Ohio State.  The next pick is a running back Ezekiel Elliott again from Ohio State.  He is six feet tall and weighs 225 pounds, which should fit perfect for the last season struggling Dallas Cowboys.  The fifth pick in the draft was Jalen Ramsey a cornerback out of Florida State and went to the Jacksonville Jaguars.  He is six feet and one inch and weighs 209 pounds.  Two surprises to me is when Derrick Henry got picked to 45th overall to the Tennessee Titans.  This was a surprise because he won the Heisman Trophy last year.  Another surprise is that Conner Cook from Michigan State did not get picked.  He was for sure one of the best or maybe the best quarterback in the draft and left without a team.

NBA season recap

This week I will be doing my blog on the end of the NBA regular season and the beginning of the playoffs.  At the end of the regular season the Warriors finished with the record for most wins in s season going 73-9.  The Clippers finished four in the West with a record of 53-29.  The Sacramento Kings finished tenth in the conference with a record of 33-49.  Lastly the Los Angeles Lakers finished last in the Western conference with only 17 wins and 65 losses.  In Kobe's last game he had a total of 60 points and is the oldest player to score 60 and will probably stay the holder of that record.  Out of the four California teams only two made the playoffs the Warriors and the Clippers.  So far in the first round the Warriors are beating the Houston Rockets 3-1 in a seven game series although star Stephen Curry has had to battle through a an ankle injury and a knee sprain.  On the other had the Clippers are up 2-1 in a seven game series against the Portland Trailblazers and the most improved player CJ McCollum.

Rams Mock Draft

Today my blog will be about the possible draft picks for the new Los Angeles Rams.  If I was the general manager for the Rams I think it would be a smart decision to take a pro bowl leveled quarterback.  So far in the latest years the Rams haven't had the best quarterbacks and that is probably the main reason for their losses.  They have a strong halfback in Todd Gurley and Tre Mason.  The Rams also traded to get the number one overall pick in the 2016 draft so they have the best chance in a great player.  The two quarterbacks that have been on their mind are Carson Wentz from North Dakota State and Jared Goff from Cal state.  Carson Wentz stands at six feet and five inches with 237 pounds, compared to Jared Goff who is six feet and four inches with 215 pounds.  Both quarterbacks have a great height for a QB but Carson Wentz has more weight that will be better for taking hits.  Overall it is hard to say which player will be the number one overall pick and the next quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams.

Rams Schedule

After a tough 2015-16 season for the Rams they decided to move to LA. Today I am going to break down there new schedule for next year. First game will be in San Fransisco and probably not such an interesting game. In week two it'll be their first game regular season game in LA and will be against the Seattle Seahawks who won the Superbowl in 2015. The third week will probably be another uninteresting game in Tampa Bay. Week four will against the rising Arizona Cardinals and is a probable loss. The next three weeks will be  easy wins if played properly against the Bills, Lions, and Giants. The rest of the schedule is pretty decent except for week nine against the Panthers, and week 13 at the Patriots. Some key games will be week 15, 16, and 17, because they are all against their division and will be key games to make the playoffs and win that division.

Los Angeles Clippers

At the moment the Los Angeles Clippers are at a solid fourth seed to enter the playoffs.  At the moment it does not look like anything will change the seed that the Clippers will be at at the end of the season.  With the injury of star Blake Griffin during the season it looked like the team was going to go down hill, but superstar Chris Paul stepped up and carried the team through the season.  They have a decent remainder of schedule with having to verse the Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder.  At the position they are in they look like they are going to have a pretty hard playoff schedule.  In the first round they would have to verse the Grizzlies again and then the mighty Golden State Warriors.  To add to that the Clippers have not beat the Warriors this whole season, so the possibilities of the Clippers actually advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the first time in franchise history are pretty slim.

Golden State Warriors

With only twelve games left in the season the Golden State Warriors have to win ten of those twelve games to make history, for most wins in a season.  This previous record was set by the Bulls when they had Michael Jordan and had 72 wins and 10 losses.  So far in the season the Warriors have been on a better pace to break that record than the Chicago Bulls were when they made the record.  The warriors don't have the prettiest schedule to make the record when they still have to verse the San Antonio Spurs twice.  Which is the only team they have not beaten this season.  Even though they are going to verse the Spurs twice they still have the former MVP and probably the best shooter of all time on their side.  Other than that record the Warriors have the record for most consecutive home wins by a team and is still in counting.

A Wonderful Story Pt.4

Whoever said seven was a lucky number didn’t experience my life on Friday February 12th. On our seventh time we got caught.

I got in trouble for drawing the bad drawings on the walls in the bathroom.  When I first got called in, they took me next to Officer Thaker’s office and told me to get on the wall.  They then checked my backpack if i had anything like sharpe, and I did.  At that moment all I cared about is not to be yelled at by one of the counselors for having a sharpe on campus, because one of the things really brings me down is when people scream at me..

After they found my sharpe Mr._ (aka “The Intimidator”) walked me over to the main office to talk with him.

That’s when I started to feel uncomfortable.

On the walk The Intimidator kept peering at me as if screaming at me, “CRIMINAL!”. His voice continued to rise with each step, telling me, “Don’t lie about anything or you will get it worse”.

I began to feel like that piece of paper you see twisting in the wind. A victim, now snatched up by The Intimidator who had already labeled me a “criminal”.

The laughs and smiles I had created with my artistry were long forgotten.

A Wonderful Story Pt.3

Still no one knew we were doing it.  The feedback we received from our new innovation was slightly better. Friends were still laughing, but I expected the feedback to be much greater than it was.

The following day, our fifth time, again our work was destroyed.  I started to feel like this was getting serious and we could get into trouble. So we stopped our comedic artistry.

After a few days we felt like we were losing our comedic momentum. No one was laughing or talking about the wall artwork.

The sixth time we showed off our work we had realized that we had to get it together and start again or everyone would soon forget about our artistic work.  So we started up again showing off our work.

The next day everyone was talking about how they thought that who ever had been drawing our usual drawings, was going to stop but they started to draw again.

The seventh time was two days after the sixth and by then people were trying to figure who is the person who has been making them laugh, but we couldn’t tell anyone.  So we just went to the bathroom again to draw, to make people guess who the people that are drawing are.

A Wonderful Story Pt.2

The next day we returned to the bathroom to admire our artwork.  It was gone. We hadn’t gotten our laughs yet, so we drew it again.  I used the same black Sharpie.

The next day some of my friends came up to me.  They said, “Did you see the drawings on the bathroom walls?”  They were were laughing. I felt like my mission was accomplished. They didn’t know it was me.

The following day, our third time, we went to check if our artwork was still on display in the bathroom. To our disappointment someone had removed our artwork again. We had so many laughs and such great feedback, we had to have it on display!  So we drew more pictures on the wall.

The positive reviews increased. Our reviews expanded from a small handful of close friends to almost all of our friends. I felt like I was king of all jokesters.  Everyone was laughing.  It felt great.

The following day, our fourth time, we saw that our work was destroyed again.  We recreated it.  But by this time the drawings were getting old. The pressure was on to come up with some new ideas.  So we added words to the drawings.

A Wonderful Story Pt.1

Around January 28th me, Brandon R., and Brandon B. came up with an exciting plan.  It was around 10:15 in the morning and we were in the halls outside History class.  We had just finished English and entered our 15 minute Nutrition Break.

Excitement was in the air.  We had the perfect plan to get all our friends laughing.

So we went over to the boys bathroom next to the PE field. It was the perfect location because it’s next most of the 8th grade classes and would get the most exposure.

We entered the bathroom. I pulled my black Sharpie out and with my best impression of Picaso-Kevin-Hart I started to draw.  I choose to draw a boy body part because all the 8th grade boys think its funny and easy to draw.  Whenever they look at a male body part, they start laughing and I really wanted to make them laugh.

I drew three more, then left to eat my snack.

Sacramento Kings

This week I will be doing this blog about the Sacramento Kings.  The Kings are sitting at a record of 20 wins and 23 losses.  They have won the last five straight games, which is the longest winning streak for them this season.  To add on to that four of those five teams are in the top nine in their conference, and three of the games were not at home.  Some of their players that have really stood are Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, and Omri Casspi.  Rajon Rondo is currently leading the NBA with total assists per game with about 11.6 assists per game.  Rondo has also gotten six triple doubles this season.  Omri Casspi is currently in the top five of three point field goal percentage and at one point was leading the NBA in that category.  Lastly DeMarcus Cousins is just being a great captain for the team and is the one who has been leading them in that five game win streak.  Tomorrow they will try to keep the win streak going at home verses the Charlotte Hornets.

Rams Coming to LA

This week I am going to do my blog on the St. Louis Rams who are now going to move back to Los Angeles, where they are originally from.  The last time the Rams were her it was 21 years ago.  The San Diego Chargers also have an option to come to LA.  The other team that was in the talk but will not get the option to come to Los Angeles, were the Oakland Raiders.  The Raiders are still in debt from moving back to Oakland from LA 20 years ago.  The Rams are going to play here during the 2016 season but in the USC Trojans stadium (the coliseum).  Rams owner is planning a $1.8 billion project to make an amazing stadium that should be ready by the 2019 season.  This is going to be the third different city they are going to play at.  The first one was Cleveland for nine total seasons from 1937 to 1945.  They later moved to Los Angeles from 1946 to 1994 for 59 seasons and one Superbowl win.  The latest city they were in was St. Louis from 1995 to 2015 for 21 total seasons.
